Tripp Skipper

After eleven years of government service, Tripp Skipper formed the Skipper Group with a focus on business development, government relations, and public affairs. Prior to launching Skipper Group, Tripp served Congressman Mike Rogers in a number of capacities including District Director, Campaign Manager and as Senior Advisor. As District Director for Congressman Rogers, Tripp was responsible for managing all matters of three congressional offices in Alabama, including an eight-person staff. Tripp excelled at building and maintaining relationships on behalf of Congressman Rogers with mayors, county commissioners, legislators, and other elected officials on projects of local and state interest.

As Campaign Manager for Rogers in 2008, Tripp was responsible for all matters of the campaign, including event planning, forming a grass-roots organization, fund-raising, media management, as well as running the most successful “Victory Program” in the history of the Third Congressional District. Congressman Rogers won re-election with 53% of the vote in one of the most difficult political environments in history for Republicans. As Senior Advisor for Rogers, Tripp maintained relations with donors and business leaders across Alabama, providing the congressman with legislative and political advice.

In August of 2000, Tripp was hired as Field Representative for Congressman Robert Aderholt, covering 14 counties in North Alabama. From 1998 – 2000, Skipper lived in Washington, D.C. where he worked as a Legislative Correspondent for Senator Jeff Sessions and as a Major Donor Representative for the National Republican Senatorial Committee during the 2000 cycle.

A native of Mobile, Alabama Tripp earned his bachelor of arts in theology from the University of Mobile. He currently resides in Auburn, Alabama with his four daughters, Anna, Maggie, Lucy, and Kate.
